来自华盛顿的艺术家Chris Maynard似乎对于天然羽毛有着特别的钟爱,他常常采集各种各样的鸟羽毛作为艺术的展现媒介,而他的艺术手段是雕刻。首先,Chris会在电脑上先模仿天然羽毛创建一些有趣设计,接着再花费大量的时间找到合适的羽毛后,使用手术钳、手术刀和放大镜进行雕刻。一些从羽毛中分化而来,或驻枝停留或展翅翱翔的活灵活现的鸟儿就展现在我们眼前。
Chris Maynard, an artist from Washington, seems to have a special love of natural feathers. He often collects a variety of bird feathers as a medium of art, and his artistic method is carving. First, Chris would imitate natural feathers on the computer to create some interesting designs, and then spend a lot of time finding suitable feathers and sculpting using pliers, scalpel and magnifying glass. Some vivid birds that differentiate from the feathers, stand still, or fly through the air are displayed before us.
