6月7日晨,我收到上海人民美术出版社、上海美术家协会“杨可扬同志治丧工作小组”寄来的信,心里一沉。清明时节,可扬先生还寄给我一函廿五枚新出版的《新年好——杨可扬木刻贺年卡》呢。拆开信封,一纸《讣告》,通报老先生于5月31日逝世。“刀力木刻研究会”的最后一位版画家,九七高龄的可扬先生,悄悄驾鹤西去了。“刀力木刻研究会”于1936年1月由上海新华艺专学生陈可默、陆地发起成立。成员有陈九、安林、刘建庵、金闻韶、许冠华、孙风、杨可杨等。马达任艺术顾问。
