今年3月份,我有幸作为中国主宾国活动组委会办公室的工作人员参加了在法国首都巴黎举办的一年一度的图书沙龙。这是欧洲规模最大的、面向公众开放的图书博览会,有来自世界二十多个国家的1200家出版商参加,参观者近19万人次。中国应邀作为本届图书沙龙的主宾国,中国文学是主宾国活动的主题。为了在沙龙期间充分展示中国出版业的形象,弘扬中国文化,国务院新闻办公室特别资助法国出版社出版了一系列中国选题的法文版图书,受到了广大法国读者的好评。我受新闻办的委托,参与了出版资助项目的前期策划和后期落实工作,并亲身感受到中国文化在欧洲有着广泛的影响,中国出版大有可为。应当说,此次出版资助活动是我国对外出版实现本土化的有益尝试,也是中国出版进入国外主流渠道的有效方式。2002年,新闻办领导在访问法国时,萌发了资助法国出版社出版有关中国选题图书的想法。我国驻法国文化处积极配合,多次与国内新闻出版单位联系,努力促成项目的实现。2003年3月份,国家新闻出版总署和国务院新闻办公室组成联合考察组,对23届法国图书沙龙进行了全面考察,决定中国作为主宾国参加2004年第24届法国图书沙龙,同时将资助出版作为重要项目列入主宾国活动计划。原计划是以提供资金支持的方式,资助出版100种图书,后来因为亚
In March this year, I was honored to attend the annual library salon in Paris, the capital of France, as the staff member of the Organizing Committee of China’s guest host country. This is the largest book fair open to the public in Europe with 1,200 publishers from over 20 countries around the world, with nearly 190,000 visitors. China was invited to be the guest of honor at this book salon, and Chinese literature is the main theme of guesthouse activities. In order to fully display the image of China’s publishing industry during the Salon and promote Chinese culture, the Information Office of the State Council specially funded the French Press for publishing a series of French-language books on China’s topics and won the praise of the majority of French readers. I was entrusted by the Information Office to take part in the preliminary planning and post-implementation work of the publishing-funded projects and personally felt that Chinese culture has a wide range of influences in Europe. It should be said that this publication subsidy activity is a useful attempt to realize the localization of our country’s external publishing and is also an effective way for China to publish its mainstream channels into foreign countries.
