Look at the production costs of books, including printed books, paper costs, printing fees, binding fees, and editing fees, proofreading fees, design fees, royalties, as well as to the author’s royalties and so on. There are two ways to pay the author royalties, one is the percentage of the retail price, and the second is the percentage of the funds income. In New York, author royalties are generally paid on the basis of the percentage of the retail price of books, with the exception of those in New York, other booksellers, such as textbooks, pay author royalties based on the percentage of net book revenue, typically 10 %. The gross profit after deducting the production cost of net income will be 50% of the net funds deducted from the deducted production cost. If the textbook is even higher, about 60%, the textbook pricing will be even higher.
