我厂1.5t电弧炉原用镁砂炉衬,其寿命在40～60炉次之间。采用水冷炉墙后,寿命提高到600余炉次,由此可见水冷炉墙的最大优点之一就是寿命长。炉墙寿命的提高,减少了炉墙的打结次数,节省了停炉时间,这样既减轻了职工的劳动强度,又扩大了生产能力,增加了效益。例如,1983年我们车间每月只需打结一次炉衬,停炉三天。随着生产的发展,月生产炉次增到百次以上,炉衬打结增为两次,需停炉六天,严重阻碍了生的发展。采用水冷炉墙后,大约半年更换一次炉墙,全年可节省打
