Localism and sadness are two prominent features of Wordsworth’s poetry creation. How to Understand the Relationship between Place and Tragedy? If we look at the tragedy with a local perspective, can we reach a new understanding of the depth of tragedy? Or can we use the perspective of tragedy to look at the place and demonstrate the complex and delicate attitude of Fahrenheit’s place? In this paper, the “collapsed cottage” as the focus of the text, with Shemshine, Edward Thomas, Jonathan Bert and other three places as the theoretical framework for the discussion, by Margaret and the relationship between local vendors and traders With the local relations of two entry points, focusing on the tragedy of Margaret to explore the place and sadness. Mainly consists of three parts, which can be summarized by three programmatic issues respectively: why Margaret is not so bad, stuck in a tragedy? Why can the old trader transcend the depression and despair of tragedy and get wisdom and comfort? And teach others? His philosophy is what?
