观念,作为一种意识形态,是社会实践活动在人们头脑中的反映。它一旦形成建立后,又反作用于社会存在。观念的变革,是新生事物的“催产婆”。新闻观念,是新闻实践活动在人们头脑中的产物,它能能动地指导、支配新闻实践活动。社会主义新闻事业的改革如同其它社会改革一样,是以观念更新为先导的。党的十一届三中全会以来,我国的新闻改革是卓有成效的,它推动新闻事业的发展。而新闻改革的历程。始终伴随着新闻观念的变革。观念更新是行为的先导。要顺利地进一步推进新闻改革,建立与社会主义市场经济相适应的新闻体制与报道模式,关键是要更新新闻观念,在坚持党性原则、喉舌功能等无产阶级新闻工作基本观念的前提下,树立并强化与改革开放时代相吻合的新闻观念。
