利奥塔是当代最著名的后现代主义者之一 ,而《后现代状况》是利奥塔最知名的著作。在这部著作中 ,利奥塔以科学的合法性为主题 ,批判了基础主义、普遍主义和本质主义的科学观 ,深入分析了现代科学的“思辨叙事”、“解放叙事”和“技术叙事” ,并提出了后现代主义的科学观。
