燕窝岭是大连南部沿海风景名胜区之一。它东距老虎滩公园3公里,西距小傅家庄约1公里。它北依山岭,南临大海;地势险峻,风景奇特。每年都有成群的燕子栖息、繁殖在这里,故得名燕窝岭。从海滨公路“燕窝岭”石碑处,沿着大约三四十度的陡坡,有两条长达1700多米的山路直通海滩。从半山腰伸延到海雄上有上千级台阶。燕窝岭由震旦系的石英岩、板岩组成。由于断裂作用形成峡谷。岭内峡谷的石壁上、裂缝内有许多的燕窝。岸边岩壁由于海浪冲蚀,海蚀岸、海蚀平台、海蚀穴比比皆是,礁石或似石佛,或似鱼鳍……令人浮想联翩。燕窝岭前的海滩上,一些由流水冲来的岩石和岸边岬角上坠落的岩石,经过年复一年的波浪淘
