Objective To investigate the clinical effect of mild hypothermia on severe craniocerebral injury. Methods 200 cases of severe craniocerebral injury treated from January 2008 to December 2010 were selected. One hundred cases were divided into routine treatment group (n = 100) and mild hypothermia treatment group (n = 100). Clinical curative effect was observed in both groups. Results Both groups were followed up for 6 months after injury. There were 24 deaths in the conventional treatment group and 18 deaths in the mild hypothermia treatment group. The clinical prognosis of the two groups was statistically significant (P <0.01). Conclusion Severe craniocerebral injury combined with mild hypothermia is more effective than conventional therapy and is an effective treatment for severe craniocerebral injury. However, it should be closely observed in the course of application to prevent the occurrence of complications and thus to reduce Mortality, reduce the morbidity, improve patient prognosis.
