Reservoirs of Shahejie Formation are major oil-bearing units in Linnan Oil Field and is mainly made up of delta sediments. The delta front sediments are homogenous in pore structure and normal in permeability, and have an oil displacement efficiency in line with their petrophysical property. By contrast, the delta plain sediment is heterogeneous in pore structure and low in oil displacement efficiency. The study shows that the heterogeneity of pore structure mainly contributes to the permeability heterogeneity of the reservoirs of delta plain subfacies in the Linnan Oil Field. Provided the pore structure or even the petrophysical property are excellent, the oil displacement efficiency is high. If the pore structure is sharp in heterogeneity (even if the permeability is fine), the oil displacement efficiency is low.
