US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Seeking New Battlefield Network Algorithms and Network Protocols US military researchers collect new algorithms and protocol stacks from the industry for use in large mission-aware, computing, communications and battlefield network systems deployed in the forefront. Officials at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency published a bulletin on distributed computing projects asking for new algorithms and protocols that will enhance distributed computing architecture applications and network performance. The consulted architecture includes network elements, wireless devices, smart phones or sensor devices in a programmable execution environment, as well as portable micro clouds of different specifications.
