巴西著名作家亚马多在今年8月访华期间,得悉我国已翻译出版了他的长篇小说《死海》,《乡姑蒂埃塔》(一译《浪女回归》)、《加布里埃拉》和《弗洛尔和她的两个丈夫》之后,心情十分激动;他不顾旅途劳顿,欣然命笔,给《弗洛尔和她的两个丈夫》的译者范维信同志(按:另一位译者是孙成敖)写了一封信,以表达他对中译者由衷感谢之情,作家在信中还谈到了他创作这几部小说的本意。为使读者先睹为快,本刊特将信件全文披露;我们相信,这将有助于我国读者更好地理解亚马多的文学创作。
