影响西红柿种子大小的遗传和环境因素,以及种子大小对西红柿植株生长发育的影响在分别用13个和17个品种的两组试验中,种子的大小和重量在品种间有重大的变化,彼此间有很大的相关性(r=0.93)。进一步观察发现,种子重量受父本的影响,而且人工授粉比自然授粉得到的种子重量高14%。10个品种自交和与另外两个品种正反交的100粒种子重的资料分析表明,种子大小受母本遗传。
