全国共有29个省(区、市)畜牧业生产遭受洪灾,因灾倒塌房屋和畜棚20多万间,因灾死亡牲畜2000多万头,畜牧业直接经济损失100多亿元。种畜禽场和畜牧兽医站遭受洪灾损失也很严重,根据部分省区畜牧部门上报材料统计和估测,全国约有2000个畜牧场(其中种畜场200多个)、6000多个畜牧兽医站受灾,直接经济损失30多亿元。福建、湖北、江西、湖南、黑龙江五省区共有800多个(广西350个)畜牧场遭灾,其中种畜场130个;2000多个(湖南580个)畜牧兽医站受灾。
