OBJECTIVE: To study the tumor immunity and organ protective effect of the vaccine on 615-series mice by using whole-cell breast cancer vaccine with pig cartilage polysaccharide as immune adjuvant. Methods Mice were immunized with co-cultures of porcine cartilage polysaccharide and Ca761 cells to establish a model of breast cancer. The thymus and spleen were used as the targets to detect the immune protection of mice. Results The survival rate of mice immunized with the vaccine was significantly higher than that of the model group. The immune organs such as the thymus were protected. The vaccine significantly stimulated the activation of splenic lymphocytes and enhanced the anti-tumor humoral immunity in mice. Conclusion Breast cancer vaccine with pig cartilage polysaccharide as immune adjuvant can enhance the immunity of the body and effectively protect immune organs and prevent the invasion and metastasis of cancer cells.
