英语动词按语态可分为主动语态和被动语态,在某些场合中动词的主动形式可以表示被动意义。下面笔者就与大家一起探讨动词外的其他词语义上也可以用主动形式表示被动意义,起着相当于动词被动语态的作用。一、形容词表示被动意义(一)以-able和-ible结尾的形容词大多数具有被动意义。例如:1.forgettable=that can be forgotten(易被忘记的)The professor’s lesson is never forgettable.
