基础研究是科技创新的根基。对农业科技来说,基础研究是提升农业科技自主创新能力的动力源泉,是培养创新人才和学科团队的重要摇篮,是推动院所学科建设与发展的重要途径。国家自然科学基金(以下简称科学基金)由于资助管理机制日益完善、协同创新富有成效、开放合作更加深人、管理水平不断提升,对繁荣我国基础研究,加强科技人才队伍建设发挥了重要作用,为提高自主创新能力,加快建设创新型国家做出了重要贡献,已经成为我国支持基础研究的主渠道之一。
Basic research is the foundation of scientific and technological innovation. For agricultural science and technology, basic research is the driving force for enhancing the capability of independent innovation of agricultural science and technology, an important cradle for cultivating innovative talents and subject teams, and is an important way to promote the discipline construction and development of institutions. The National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as the Science Foundation) has played an important role in boosting China's basic research and strengthening the construction of scientific and technological personnel because of the increasingly perfect funding management mechanism, effective synergistic innovation, deeper open cooperation and continuous improvement of management level.
