全国科技振兴城市经济研究会会员大会暨首届年会于5月24日至28日在沿江开放城市湖南省岳阳市举行。来自全国70多个城市和有关单位的代表共160余人参加了会议。原国家科委副主任周平、湖南省副省长郑培民到会并讲了话。著名经济学家吴象作了学术报告,科技日报社社长兼总编辑、研究会理事长林玉树代表理事会作了工作报告。开幕式由科技日报社秘书长、研究会秘书长黎懋光主持。全国科技振兴城市经济研究会(简称科技兴市研究会)是在从1989年到1991年于广西柳州、湖北宜昌、四川绵阳、陕西咸阳举行的4次全国科技兴市研讨会的基础上经过酝酿和筹备建立起来的。本次会议是经国家科委和民政部正式批准后举行的第一次会员大会和年会。

The National Association of Science and Technology for the Promotion of Urban Economy (hereinafter referred to as the “Science and Technology Promotion Association”) was deliberated on the basis of four national seminars on the promotion of science and technology held in Liuzhou in Guangxi Province, Yichang in Hubei Province, Mianyang in Sichuan Province and Xianyang in Shaanxi Province from 1989 to 1991 And preparations for the establishment. This meeting is the first member meeting and annual meeting held after the formal approval of the State Science and Technology Commission and the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
