In January 1992, following the order by Spain of Madeira’s light air defense missile northwest wind in December last year, South Korea became the fourteenth country to order the bomb. This order is the first portable Northwest Wind System (MANPADS) and hundreds of rounds of missiles, worth about two hundred million US dollars. The next few years will also be ordered a considerable number of batches, with a total value of 600-800 million US dollars. The contract also provides an opportunity for further cooperation with the South Korean industrial community. In particular, Venus has long been partnering with Matera in the development of the KOREASAT long-range communications satellite. The decision by South Korea, which made it the 4th Asian country to buy northwestern winds, affirms that Madera has outperformed its rivals, the United States, Britain and Sweden.
