米蛾卵对紫外线反应十分敏感。用20瓦紫外线灯,距卵面20厘米,照射25分钟,可杀死米蛾卵胚(卵龄24小时),处理后的米蛾卵连续饲养中华草蛉3个世代,幼虫期发育正常,结茧率为73.3～80.0％,羽化率为82.6～86.9％,证明照射后的米蛾卵做饲料,对中华草蛉没有不良影响。
