On September 15, 2003, Xu Bangda Art Gallery witnessed its grand opening ceremony. After the celebration, guests began to tour the gallery. The masterpieces on display were all created by contemporary prominent artists of national renown such as Qigong, Cheng Shifa, Zhu Jiajin, Feng Qiyong, and Wang Bomin. One huge-size calligraphic artwork titled National Treasure attracted special attention. To people’s amazement, this masterwork was created by a woman centenarian Yuan Xiaoyuan.
