坐落在芬兰赫尔辛基市中心区历史街区的赫尔辛基大学主图书馆.简直就是一栋“弧与拱的建筑”。Anttinen Oiva Architects的建筑师说,城市景观是这栋图书馆建筑设计的出发点。他们认为,作为一栋特别的公共建筑.应该要主动从材料.设计和高度等方面融入周围的环境。由于之前位于这栋建筑所在位置的旧的混凝土结构已经不堪重负.因此建设新的图书馆建筑时.便在原先的地下室上面建了一个经过了加固的混凝土框架。
Located in the Helsinki Central District, Finland, the Helsinki University Main Street Library is simply a “building with arcs and arches.” Architects at Anttinen Oiva Architects say that the cityscape is the starting point for this library’s architectural design. They think that as a special public building, they should take the initiative to integrate into the surrounding environment from materials, design and height. As the old concrete structure was previously overwhelmed by the location of the building, a reinforced concrete frame was built above the original basement when the new library building was constructed.
