1995年10月,沈阳市公安局刑警支队、大东分局刑警一大队和大东分局机场派出所紧密配合,运用刑事技术、情报资料等手段,成功地破获了历时4年、横跨沈阳7区、涉案368起(已核实)罕见的系列技术盗窃案件,其中特大案件13起,重大案件176起,总价值97万余元。1994年1月以来,沈阳市内五区连续发生犯罪分子结伙用万能钥匙开锁入室盗窃案件。针对该系列盗案发案数量多,涉及地域广,又是技术盗窃,危害严重的情况,市局刑警支队高度重视,技术二科跟踪勘查、复查现场进行技术串案,微机网络系统跟踪累积资料,进行宏观研究信息串案。到1995年10月全市存入微机钥匙开锁盗案已达374起,其中通过现场足迹串上41起。由于犯罪分子作案狡猾,案后反锁门,室内翻动不大且恢复原样,被盗后不易及时发现报案,造成很多犯罪现场失去勘查条
