发生在2001年的911恐怖袭击,无疑是人类进入21世纪以来的重大事件,也是美国人心中永远的伤痛。美国邮政先后发行了《团结屹立》普通邮票和《英雄》附捐邮票,但仍不足以完全表达人们的心情。在这种情况下,纪念邮戳提供了更为广阔的空间和方便的手段,尤其在911事件一周年时,美国各地集中出现了一大批值得收藏的纪念邮戳。
The Sept. 11 terrorist attacks that took place in 2001 are undoubtedly a major event since the 21st century for mankind and are forever hurt in the hearts of the Americans. The U.S. postal government has issued the “United Stands” ordinary stamps and the “Heroes” stamps affixed with donations, but still not enough to fully express the people’s feelings. Under such circumstances, the commemorative postmark provides a broader space and convenient means. In particular, on the first anniversary of September 11, a large number of memorial postmarks worthy of collection are concentrated in the United States.
