民兵教练员是后备力量教育训练的师资力量。这支队伍建设的好坏,直接关系到军事训练工作的质量。随着改革的推进,我认为民兵教练员应向精、优、专的方向发展。民兵教练员队伍要精简。现在的民兵教练员人数保留二分之一就足够了。庞大的民兵教练员队伍,不仅工作效率不高,造成诸多浪费,而且不便于培训,影响教育训练工作的质量。精简民兵教练员队伍本身就是教育训练工作改革的一个组成部分。民兵教练员队伍要优选。优选是提高训练工作效率和教学质量的保障条件。目前的民兵教练员大都是比较优秀的退伍军
