棉花合理密植能充分地利用地力和空间,获得增产。但在我县的土质、耕作水平下,究竟留多少苗为宜,还缺乏实践材料。为此,1965年春我们进行了棉花密度的试验。一、试验内容及方法:我们作了每亩留苗3000、4000、5000、6000、7000和8000株六个密度试验,共分八处,有四处重复二次,随机排列,小区面积一分,全部试验共72个小区,占地7.2亩。播种方式皆系大小垅,行距三、四、五千株的平均1.8尺,6、7、8千株的平均1.6尺。
