英国教育学家安德烈指出,故事对于孩子的学习和生活具有重要的影响。故事能够让别人理解孩子的想法。在听故事的过程中,孩子发展了思维,学会了交际,同时也感受了文化,还能够了解世界。在小学英语课堂教学中,有些教师的教学重视字词语篇,促使学生掌握写、读、说、听等技能和基本的英语基础知识,却忽视了培养学生的创新精神、想象能力、思维能力、记忆能力和观察能力。因此,重视故事教学,在小学英语中应用故事教学法具有重要的意义。
