在前人对矿区火山岩Rb -Sr、Sm -Nd年代学研究的基础上 ,通过对矿区石英钠长斑岩的Rb -Sr年代学研究 ,获得其等时线年龄为 ( 2 94± 13)Ma ,87Sr/ 86Sr初始比值为 0 .70 4 72±0 .0 0 0 18。鉴于石英钠长斑岩脉与金矿化有直接成生关系 ,而且有些石英钠长斑岩脉本身就是金矿体 ,因此金矿的形成时代应与石英钠长斑岩形成时代大体一致或稍晚 ,据此推断布尔克斯岱金矿的形成时代应为晚石炭世—早二叠世 ,成矿作用与区内火山和潜火山岩浆作用有关。
