东风_4C型4001和4002号两台机车已先后在赤峰机务段投入运用考核。本文对该型机车结构特点及牵引区段、牵引条件作了简单介绍。同时对4001号机车的机破、临修情况及C型机车上的增压器和电子恒功励磁装置的工作状态也作了扼要介绍,通过初步考核,已显示出在同等牵引条件下,C型机车在牵引速度和经济性上均有所提高,B型机车上存在的某些惯性质量问题也得到克服。
