There are times when some things are arranged in some way. June 28, 2005, the Knicks selected David Lee in the 30th overall pick in the first round of the draft. This choice gives a spur to the San Antonio Spurs draft think-tank, some 1,800 miles away. In fact, the win was originally the Spurs, but in February of the same year they signed the contract with Malik Rose for Nazir Muhammad. Out of sheer curiosity, the Spurs think tank wondered how the Knicks would make the draft pick.
