Two types of traditional narratives were originally used in the narratives of science fiction: travel narratives and historical narratives. By their material rules, science fiction works are also aware that scientific discoveries are challenging these traditions and ultimately prove that traditional narrative techniques are inadequate. This is even more so when science-fiction narratives convey to readers information about past or future unknown worlds. Some science-fiction narratives, even in the most dislocated narrative audiences associated with readers of flesh and blood, continue to turn a blind eye to the problem by relying on the traditional form contrary to fact. While other science fiction narratives, such as those discussed in this article, are aware of the problems that arise from the misplaced space-time, it is clear that they seek to open up new narrative patterns to deal with these issues. “Novelty” in science fiction works, usually referring to the subject matter and content. Theme and form are inseparable, but we also want to show how science fiction works can prove the original high level of creativity in combination with the new space-time situation created by science.
