自春秋战国时期以来,以为春申君黄歇是上海人,而黄浦江是黄歇开凿,所以称之为黄歇浦,又别称春申江、申江,于是简称上海为申。其实这一传闻是不可相信的。 根据《史记》所载,春申君黄歇是楚人,今若说他是湖北人,还大致差不多。若以为他是上海人,则离题太远了。春申君是战国后期与齐国孟尝君、赵国平原君、魏国信陵君齐名的四公子之一。楚考烈王元年(公元前262年)以黄歇为相,
