虾蟆秋海棠(Bengonia rex)是一种室内观叶植物,多年生草本,叶面斑斓多彩,非常惹人喜受。目前国内仅少数地区有引进栽培。 以往虾蟆秋海棠多采用插叶繁殖,每张叶片在2—3个月内最多长出十几棵小植株。此法繁殖系数低,而且常因浇水不当引起腐烂而失败。为使这种名贵花卉在国内迅速推广,我们从香港引进了三个品种,于1985年底开始进行试探性试验,1986年初正式进行试管苗繁殖,现已获得成功,并大量移入花盆栽植。
Beech Begonia (Bengonia rex) is a kind of indoor foliage plants, perennial herbs, colorful foliage, very pleasant. At present, only a few areas have introduced cultivation. In the past toad begonias multiply the use of leaf propagation, each leaf in 2-3 months up to grow more than a dozen small plants. The method of low coefficient of multiplication, and often due to improper watering decay caused failure. In order to promote such exotic flowers rapidly in China, we introduced three varieties from Hong Kong and began tentative tests at the end of 1985. In early 1986, we conducted the test tube seedling multiplication and have now succeeded and moved in large numbers into pots.
