在美国加利福尼亚州洛杉矶市,J·保罗·格蒂博物馆的丰富艺术品馆藏与汇集本城的好莱坞明星一样出名。但《洛杉矶时报》不久前报道说,这家博物馆被怀疑曾大量购买非法来源艺术品,一名馆长已受到起诉。目前馆内至少有42件艺术品被确认是被盗卖的意大利古董,意当局将向博物馆讨回这些珍品。
In Los Angeles, California, USA, the extensive collection of art at the J. Paul Getty Museum is just as famous as the Hollywood stars who bring together the city. However, the Los Angeles Times recently reported that the museum was suspected of having purchased a large amount of illegally sourced artwork and that one curator had been prosecuted. At present there are at least 42 works of art that have been confirmed as being pirated Italian antiques, and the Italian authorities will retrieve the treasures from the museum.
