让我们来做道睡眠数学题。上星期,你因为某个必须在周五前搞定的项目每天晚上少睡了两个小时。星期六和星期天,你睡了个懒觉,多睡了四个小时。星期一早上的时候,你觉得很精神,虽然往常要喝两杯咖啡,可那天你只喝了一杯咖啡就够了。但是千万别被这表面的活力给骗了:你还是欠觉的,或者用专家的话说,欠了“睡眠债”——六小时,几乎就是一整晚的睡眠了。
Let’s do sleep math. Last week, you slept twice a night less for a project that had to be done by Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, you sleep for a nap, sleep for four more hours. On Monday morning, you feel very good, though you often have to drink two cups of coffee, but only one cup of coffee is enough that day. But do not be fooled by this superficial energy: you still owe it, or, in the words of experts, owe the “sleep debt” - six hours, almost a full night’s sleep.
