吴格非教授在《1848-1949中英文学关系史》一书中对百年中英文学交流史上的各位“使者”的主要著作和观点进行了深入的研究,弥补了中英文学关系史研究这一课题的诸多不足;修正了我们一般所认为的中国在各方面都落后于西方的观念和认识;为文学关系的研究提供了一条新的更加清晰明了的思路和方法。
In his book The History of the Relationship between Chinese and English Studies in 1848-1949, Professor Wu Gefei conducted an in-depth study on the major works and points of view of all the messengers in the history of the exchange of Chinese and English literature for centuries, which made up for the study of the history of Sino-British literary relations A problem a lot of deficiencies; amendments we generally think of China lagging behind in all aspects of the concept and understanding of the West; for the study of the relationship between literature provides a new clearer ideas and methods.
