他的履历表很简单,大学毕业后分配到中国热带农业科学院,24年一直没挪“窝”;他的履历表又很辉煌,从实习研究员到研究员,两次破格晋升,还被聘为农业部专家咨询委员会委员,直至成长为中国热带农业科研领域的领军人物。他的人生和事业很独特:24年,始终在一个单位工作,人生是一条直线,执着前行;24年,勇闯科研空白,开创出一个年产值数亿的热带香料饮料产业。事业是一条曲线,曲折向上;在曲直之间,他就像自己所研究的热带植物,把根深深扎入海南、扎入热带农业科研工作,最终长成参天大树,枝叶繁茂。他,就是被评为CCTV2008年度十大三农人物的王庆煌——海南省优秀人才、国务院享受政府特殊津贴专家、博士生导师、中国热带农业科学院院长,尽管担任行政领导职务,还保持着一名专家的本色,手里永远都有他放不下的科研课题和民生福祉。
