联合国国际通信部2004 年公布的研究数据表明,目前全球电子邮件中75%～85%属于垃圾邮件,而一年前这个数字还仅仅是 35%。根据微软公布的数字,2004 年3 月发往Hotmail 用户邮件中的垃圾邮件高达76%。反垃圾邮件公司Commtouch Software的数据显示,与2003 年12 月相比,2004 年6 月垃圾邮件的数量增幅高达42%,可谓愈演愈烈。垃圾邮件仿佛洪水一样节节攀升,电子邮件带给人们的种种方便正逐渐消失在水面下。垃圾邮件何时休?抑或人们不得不放弃电子邮件这一交流手段吗?
According to the research data released by the UN’s Department of International Communications in 2004, 75% to 85% of the global e-mail currently belongs to spam, up from 35% a year ago. According to figures released by Microsoft, up to 76% of spam was sent to Hotmail users in March 2004. Data from Commtouch Software, an antispam company, shows an increase of up to 42% in the volume of spam in June 2004 as compared to December 2003, which can be said to have intensified. Spam, like a flood, is on the rise, and all the convenience that e-mail brings to life is slowly disappearing beneath the water. When is the spam off? Or do people have to abandon the email as a means of communication?
