2003年4月,由日立与三菱电机半导体业务合并而成的瑞萨科技投入运营,此举可以被视作日本半导体厂商力求摆脱过去十年的困境、增强自身竞争力的积极举措。瑞萨科技社长兼COO伊藤达在上海接受了EDN CHINA 专访时明确表示,在未来的5年时间里,瑞萨科技一定会在“泛网社会”(意即网络无处不在的社会)中成为半导体技术的全球领导者。
In April 2003, Renesas Technology, a merger of Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric Semiconductor, was put into operation. This can be seen as a positive move by Japanese semiconductor manufacturers to get rid of the plight of the past decade and enhance their competitiveness. Renesas Technology CEO and COO Ito Tat accepted an interview with EDN CHINA in Shanghai, making it clear that in the next 5 years, Renesas Technology will certainly be in the “ubiquitous community” (meaning the Internet is everywhere in the community ) To become a global leader in semiconductor technology.
