胎盘蛋白13(placental protein 13,PP13)是从人类足月胎盘中克隆的一种蛋白,根据序列分析、整合及计算机模拟,揭示了其保守的序列功能与半乳凝素家族有同源性,这种蛋白又被命名为半乳凝素13(galectin 13)。自Bohn[1]在1983年首次分离了PP13并阐述其特点后,PP13的结构和功能和在胎盘发育过程的可能作用以及调节通路和对子痫前期的预测作用引起了广泛的兴趣。本文将对近年来PP13的基因、结构、生物学功能以及其与子痫前期的关系研究进展进行综述。
Placental protein 13 (PP13) is a protein cloned from human full-term placenta. Based on sequence analysis, integration and computer simulation, it reveals that its conserved sequence homology with the galectin family, This protein is in turn named galectin 13. Since Bohn [1] first isolated PP13 in 1983 and elucidated its characteristics, the structure and function of PP13 and its possible role in placental development as well as its regulatory pathways and its predictive impact on preeclampsia have drawn widespread interest. This article reviews the recent progress in PP13 gene, structure, biological function and its relationship with preeclampsia.
