From the 1950s to the 1980s, the theme of the life of American youth has always been “survival.” The basic idea is that when the younger generation has realized the awakening of life, completed the stage of education and entered the society with an adult attitude, the main program of social operation , Advantageous positions have been occupied by middle-aged people. If we do not carry out creative endeavors and open up new social flows and new jobs and occupy them, the younger generation will have to accept humiliation in accepting the imposed lifestyles of previous generations. In spirit, it becomes materially dependent. Therefore, all modern people rely on their own efforts to expand their own living space, which can not be interfered with by their predecessors. The positive meaning of youth in serving as the supreme principle of “survival” is obvious. Up to now, young Americans in the world have the strongest self-reliance in the world’s youth. But its drawbacks are also increasingly apparent. Young people lose their sense of responsibility towards society and others, lose their love, and because of quick success in abiding by the creed of survival, they have no interest in the cultural heritage of mankind or in the latest scientific achievements.
