《痴人说梦》是刻本,不是抄本,无法随意予以否定。此书刊刻于嘉庆末年,是一部真实可靠的古籍文献。有人明确宣布《痴人说梦》为伪书,但没有凭据,毫无道理。《痴人说梦》国家图书馆藏本的避讳形态、黄小田批语、“旧抄本”中的“土番”字样、曹耀宗《红楼梦百咏词》跋文、徐传经评本、蝶芗仙史评本等内证与外证,均可证实《痴人说梦》自身不伪。该书所记“旧抄本”作为客观独立、切实有力的学术旁证,能够简明确证今存早期脂本不伪。
