The plasma aldosterone (ALDO) levels in rats of different developmental stages and different genders were also studied. At the same time, the origin of ALDO in plasma and the effects of female gonads on the plasma ALDO levels were also discussed. The results showed that the level of plasma ALDO in young rats was lower than that in the first 15 days after birth, and there was no significant difference in plasma ALDO levels between the 25th and the 35th days. There was a significant gender difference in ALDO levels in the plasma of rats more than 35 days. There was no significant difference in plasma ALDO levels between virgin rats and plasma ALDO levels in ovariectomized females. Newborn 2 days old mice had the ability to produce ALDO.
