20 0 4年 1 2月 3日 1 9时 4 0分 ,2 0世纪世界级的几何学家陈省身在天津逝世 ,享年 93岁 .国际数学界失去了一位大师 ,中国科技界失去了一位伟大的科学家 .巨星陨落 ,世人同悲 ,但以陈先生名字命名的“陈省身星”依然闪烁在浩瀚的天宇 .为了纪念这位国际数学大师 ,本刊特转载《光明日报》的一篇纪念文章 ,以表达我们的哀思 .
