In less than 40 years, Japan’s information industry has jumped to become the largest information industry power in the world market and second only to the United States, and its scale of development and rapid development have drawn worldwide attention. History of Japan’s Informationization In Japan, the information industry generally refers to all industries related to computers, including the computer manufacturing industry, the information and communication industry, and the information service industry (software development and information processing services). The first computer was born in 1946 in the United States. Ten years later Japan began computer production. Nomura Securities Corporation introduced the use of computers for the first time on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 1955 and pioneered a new era of information technology in Japan. For more than 40 years, Japan’s investment in the information industry has been steadily increasing. Although the entire Japanese economy fluctuates from time to time, the information industry has always been developing. The difference between Japan and the United States is that the United States is guided by the government in its social informatization and the main driving force for promoting Japan’s social informatization comes from the computerization of large-scale non-governmental commercial associations.
