In the history of romantic ideas in the United States, Allan Poe’s work is unique. So I’ll discuss two of the many elements that make his work unique and enduring - “single effects” and “ending”. “Single effect ” means that the atmosphere of the entire novel should be put forward in the first sentence. Narrative perspective also helps to establish a single effect. The ending of Allan Poe’s story is also different, and the ending of his novel is death and sorrow. This outcome according to the theme of the story, but also aggravate the single effect of the story.
