As a theoretical trend of thought, “Queer Theory” was primarily active in the humanities such as anthropology, sociology, religion, literature, film, and cultural studies. In the early 1990s, the American music academy opened up a new field of vision with the help of queer theory. The study of the composer’s sexuality and sexual orientation in the academic circles shifted from the state of “to say goodbye” to the stage of professional music study . Music scholars no longer look down on the music of other groups with a high attitude, but emphasize the combination of cultural theory, political history, homosexual theory, etc., and pay attention to the study of “others ” culture and the cultural meanings behind the music. Heterosexuality is seen as a human being in traditional gender notions
