Campylobacter jejuni is an important pathogen of human enteritis, but there is no suitable animal model. Commonly used primates, chickens and gnotobiotic dogs. However, primates are difficult to obtain, breeding and rearing gnotobiotic animals are costly, and chick infections are less reproducible. Therefore, current emphasis is placed on the use of experimental animals. The authors studied experimental infections in adult HA-ICR mice. Mice were taken from caesarean section and were fed isolated. The three Campylobacter jejuni strains used for the experiment came from the patients belonging to the most common type PEN 1,2,3. Strains were cultured on artificial media and then fed to adult HA-ICR mice, the latter
