二十世纪末,在杭州剧院举办了一场引人注目的艺术教学专场,浙汀艺术学校优秀教师陈天贶与历届学生同台献演,光彩夺目,不仅显示了作为教师陈天贶个人的艺术造诣与育才成果,更是显示了浙江艺术学校重视积累教学经验与提高教师素质的有意义的举措。原省文联主席、著名剧作家顾锡东曾说八十年代初看陈天贶演出《拾玉镯》,觉得陈天贶有功底,很有灵气,特别会演戏,不演戏太可惜了……今天我要改口说,陈天贶不演戏而教戏,太可贵了。陈天贶为了培养越剧新一代,把青春献给了芝术教育事业,无怨无悔,勤奋教学30余年,培养出陈辉玲、黄依群、周奸俊、蔡捷等一批出类拔萃的高材生。陈天贶,国家一级演员,为中国戏剧家协会会员。生于1947年5月,浙江磐安人。陈天贶从小长得聪明玲俐,喜唱爱舞,1959年如愿以偿考入浙江戏曲学校越剧班,工小花旦、刀马旦。在校6年的学习,有幸得到著名越剧前辈姚水娟老师的细心指教,通过《小姑贤》、《双下山》、《盘夫》、《九斤姑娘》等越剧传统经典折子戏的磨炼,打下了扎实的基本功基础。1965年以优异的成绩毕业,分配至浙江越剧一团任演员。时值正演现代戏,曾扮演《抢伞》、《追蛋》、《一百分不算满分》、《送货路上》、《大路朝阳》等小戏中不同性格角色,崭露头角。正当青春年华,踌躇满志地在越剧舞台施展才华,却因“文革”原因被迫中断,到杭州钢铁厂当了5年刨工。1975年学校恢复越剧表演专业班,就被调回母校任教,担任“越剧剧目”、“越剧唱腔”等课程主教。从此,陈天贶将希望寄托在下一代身上,潜心教学,她所主教的《拾玉镯》、《陈三两》、《打金枝》、《九斤姑娘》等剧目已成为学校越剧表演教学优秀教材。在教学的同时,还积极参与舞台艺术实践。她认识到,作为一名越剧教师,只有自己练好了,才能更好地教好学生。一出《拾玉镯》确实来之不易,她是先当学生,再当老师。为了演好教好剧中孙玉姣一角,陈天贶拜著名京剧演员刘云兰老师为师,虚心求教,刻苦琢磨,终于成功地创作了越剧版的《拾玉镯》,既丰富了越剧教学剧目,也提高了自身的艺术造诣,她塑造的孙玉姣一角,被专家誉为“细致入微,玲珑剔透。”1980年她参加全省青年演员会演一举夺得表演一等奖。1989年参加全省中青年演员精英大奖赛,又荣获艺术教育优秀表演奖。陈天贶曾著《架起通向舞台的天桥》、《越剧新流派的产生》、《论越剧教材的精品化》等艺术教育论文,并在全国中等艺术教育学会论文评比中获得奖项。已延期3年退休的陈天贶老师于2005年正式退休,现仍在校授课,继续越剧艺术的传承。
